1. Free Hanging Throat Tab (Patent Pending)
4-layer throat tab hangs freely away from your
neck and out of the way when not deployed.
When deployed there is no exposed
VELCRO®
on either the tab or collar.
Tab is scooped out across the top with
added coverage across the bottom
for a precision SCBA mask
interface, collar adjustment, and protection.
2. Contoured Collar
Unmatched for comfort and protection, the tailored 2-piece construction is used in all 4 layers of the collar with 4 rows of stitching on the underside shell layer maintaining the ergonomic shape when the collar is flipped up or laying down.
3. Contoured Sleeves
Ergonomically curved sleeves follow the natural
shape of your arm to work with you – not
against you. Contoured and graded for each
jacket size so you always get the right fit.
4. AXTION™ Sleeve (Patent Pending)
Pleats built into the shell and darts in the
AXTION™ Liner on the front and back of
each sleeve provide extra length where
you need it for reaching up. Together
with the AXTION™ Back and Liner, this
system allows you to raise your arms
without restriction and with minimal
coat rise.
5. Cargo/Handwarmer Pockets
8" X 8" X 2" expansion pockets have an extra layer of shell material to reinforce the lower half for longer wear. Integral handwarmer pockets lined with NOMEX® fleece are set behind. Pockets still function when used with SCBA.
6. New High-Temp Polymer Zipper
Finally, a strong and easy-to-zip polymer zipper that exceeds the standards and your expectations. Standard closure uses this new zipper covered by a quadruple-stitched VELCRO® storm flap for less bulk, lower weight, and to allow radio pocket options to be closer to the front of the jacket to avoid SCBA straps. Or choose from many closure options.
7. Breathable Front Closure System
Storm flap and inside facings are lined with breathable moisture barrier
material for improved ventilation of critical body core.
8. AXTION™ Liner (Patent Pending)
The liner has darts in the moisture barrier and pleats in the thermal barrier corresponding to the added length in the shell provided by the AXTION back and sleeves. Liner is tailored to fit at the waist for less bulk when the SCBA belt is cinched up. Wristers are attached to the liner so that there is less restriction when reaching. When you take off the jacket, the liner stays connected to the cuff with 4 hidden snaps.
9. Liner Access Opening (Patent Pending)
The moisture barrier and the thermal barrier separate inside the collar to allow you to check out the condition of the layers when you need to. The moisture barrier extends high up into the collar for enhanced waterproof integrity. VELCRO® secures the moisture barrier to the outer collar and the thermal barrier to the inner collar for independent movement without restriction. When removed for laundering, the layers fasten together to protect the liner for contamination and damage.
10. AXTION™ Back (Patent Pending)
Full-length expansion pleats on the shell work with the AXTION™ Liner to provide unrestricted movement with or without an SCBA.
11. Thermally Enhanced Upper Body & Elbows
High compression areas get added layers of your specified thermal liner
material for greater conductive compressive heat esistance (CCHR).
Extra-large enhancements extend 7" down the back and 5" down the front of
the jacket.
12. Telescoping Sleeve Wells
Extra-deep 5" telescoping sleeve wells keep water out, interface with all glove styles, and add additional thermal protection. The knit wrister is attached to the liner for increased mobility when reaching. And the inner cuff adjusts with elastic and VELCRO® for a “just right” fit.
13. Your Choice of Lengths
Men’s sizes are available in either 32" or 35" back lengths. Women’s sizes come with a standard 29" back length.
14. Generous Liner Pocket
7" X 9" interior pocket is lined with moisture
barrier to keep contents dry. Optional second
pocket is available.
15. YOCCO Drag Rescue Device(DRD)
The YOCCO Drag Rescue Device is designed to provide a quickly deployed system to help rescue a downed firefighter. The DRD strap is hidden between the inner and outer jacket and loops around the upper shoulders. One end of the loop exits through an opening in the outer jacket at the base of the collar covered by a flap. to deploy, open the flap and pull on the strap handle. This action tightens the loop around the victim's torso and gives you and others a more effective way of dragging a firefighter to safety.
