Because firefighters wearing Proximity Gear may be exposed to higher levels of heat, we recommend choosing one of the moisture barriers from W.L. Gore & Associates. Their barriers provide increased thermal stability (ability to endure higher temperatures and higher heat fluxes) than any other competitive barrier.
